We’d never been to Tairua before Megan + Orrin’s wedding day, but what a spot it is! We’d been looking forward to this wedding since November when we photographed Megan’s brother Matt’s wedding too. It was actually quite funny heading there, knowing we were going to see lots of family members that we’d photographed not long before. Tairua was the most perfect location for Megan + Orrin to get married, and the weather did not disappoint us, with sunshine (and clouds right when we needed them!).
We began the day with Orrin and the boys, at a bach that had incredible views over Tairua Beach. They were looking pretty suave, and were nice and relaxed with a drink in hand and the BBQ on full bore. Megan was getting ready at a family property, right across the road from a reserve overlooking the water which they’d chosen as their ceremony spot – perfect! Once the girls were all ready and looking fabulous, all they had to do was exit the house’s front doors, cross the road and walk down the aisle! The weather couldn’t have been more perfect for this day, and we loved taking a few portraits of the newlyweds and their bridal party around Tairua. The reception was held at the Tairua Hall, where the catering was beyond delicious, the decorations were beautiful, and everyone was in great spirits. We had a fabulous time, congrats again Megan + Orrin!
